Events and Blackthorn Base Version Prerequisites
Blackthorn Base: To store or display push notification messages in the Navigator app’s Notification Center, the related Salesforce org must have Blackthorn Base Version 1.61 installed. Events users don’t need to upgrade Blackthorn Base unless they use the Navigator app for their Events.
Events App: Events version 5.35.3 is required to use the Event Code Authorization functionality. This version is available in the Candy Shop for those who wish to install it.

Bug Fixes
Advanced Visibility: Advanced Visibility rules configured for an Event now work correctly in the Navigator app. Attendees see only the Sessions and Event Content permitted based on the BT Rules’ configurations. Previously, if a BT Rule was applied to an Attendee, they were unable to see any Sessions, not just those restricted by the visibility settings, in the Navigator app. The fix ensures Sessions and all tab-level visibility settings (Agenda, Attendees, Ticket, Profile, Map) are enforced in Navigator.
QR Codes: The QR code in the Ticket tab of the Navigator app now renders correctly for registered Attendees when QR codes are enabled. Previously, the QR code was not visible.
Enhancements
QR Code Self-check-in
Attendees can quickly check themselves in by scanning a QR code with the Navigator app, removing friction at arrival and Session entry while helping them get where they need to go faster.
Self-check-in supports Event-level check-in (to confirm arrival) and Session-level check-in (to record participation in a specific Session). When an Attendee scans a QR code, the app processes the check-in and displays a success or already-checked-in message. The scanner supports both front and back cameras.
For organizers, self-check-in provides accurate attendance data without adding staffing overhead, supports better Session insights, and improves confidence in attendance reporting across the Event.
Updated Session Details Tab
The Session Details tab now includes two tabs: Details and Session Registrants. When the related Event Settings record has the Show Agenda checkbox checked, then an Attendee will see both the Details and Session Registrants tabs on the Session Details page. If Show Agenda is not checked, the Attendee will only see the Session Details information.
The Details tab includes information about the Session, such as the Display Name, Start Time, Location, Description, and Speakers' list.
The Session Registrants tab lists all the Attendees registered for the Session. Clicking an Attendee's name opens the Attendee's details page. If an Attendee has hidden their profile, their name will not be in the list, and the following message will appear at the top of the screen: "X attendees have hidden their profile."
Speaker View: Speakers can now view a list of Attendees (Session Attendees) registered for their Session. The list includes an Attendee's name, company, and title. Event Organizers can configure the Speaker View by selecting which Attendee fields are visible.
Attendee View: Attendees can see a list of other Attendees registered for the same Session. Attendees who have opted out of the Attendee List are not included here.
Redesigned More Page
The "More" page in the Navigator app has been redesigned to use an icon-driven, card-based layout. The previous list-style view has been replaced with clear, tappable cards using prominent iconography and labels, improving scannability, and touch accessibility.
Available icons/cards include Profile, Speakers, Sponsors (Custom Tab), Map (Custom Tab), Content (Event Content), Contact Us, Quick Start, Change Organization, and Switch Event, as well as any overflow Custom Tabs that do not fit in the bottom navigation bar. Icons/cards are displayed conditionally based on the Event Organizer's configuration (e.g., Speakers appear only if the Event has Speakers).
Known Issues
Issues with videos embedded in Custom Content:
On iOS devices, embedded YouTube videos display Error 153, and BLive video links do not render the video.
On both Android and iOS devices, Loom videos are unsupported and display the error "[embed src]."
Issue with enabling the Navigator app: When the Event’s Enable Navigator Attendee Mobile App is NOT enabled, and the Event has a Session and a Session Speaker linked in the Session Speaker record, the Speaker Navigator App Link is incorrectly generated.
Error when entering an organization ID: If an Attendee enters an invalid organization ID and taps Continue, the “Something went wrong” screen displays Retry, but does not show the Go back option.
Android UI breaking: When an Attendee views the Navigator app on an Android device and the Event’s Agenda, Profile, and Ticket options are disabled in the Event Settings, the user interface or layout becomes misaligned and appears broken, resulting in a poor user experience.
