Navigator Usage Reporting & Analytics

Prev Next

You can see how attendees engage with the Blackthorn Event Navigator app for each Event, out of the box — no custom work required. Mobile Attendee App Usage records capture engagement counts per Event per day, and two ready-made reports ship with the package.

Note: The usage object, fields, and reports ship in the Events 5.47 Salesforce package and must be installed by an admin. Engagement is captured across both iOS and Android, and the analytics are privacy-safe — no personal information is collected.

What gets tracked

Mobile Attendee App Usage records (one per Event per day) capture the number of unique app users that day plus engagement counts for:

  • Home views
  • Agenda views
  • Attendee directory views and attendee profile views
  • Speaker views and speaker-profile views
  • Content views
  • Ticket views
  • Custom tab views
  • Session registrations and deregistrations
  • Notification opens
  • Profile completions and profile-visibility updates

Ready-made reports

Two reports ship in the Blackthorn Events Reports folder:

  • Navigator Active Users per Event
  • Navigator Feature Engagement per Event

These help you understand adoption and engagement per Event, and give your account team accurate, event-level usage figures.

Where the data lives in Salesforce

Navigator stores engagement on a new object called Mobile Attendee App Usage (Mobile_Attendee_App_Usage__c). You'll see one record for each day an event's app was used, so you can follow how engagement builds over the life of the event. Every record is tied to its event and shows that day's date, the number of unique people who used the app, and the activity counts below.

For admins, the supporting fields are Event__c (the linked event), Usage_Date__c (the day the activity happened — usually the day before the record was created), Number_of_Unique_Users_Per_Day__c (unique app users that day), and Usage_Key__c (the behind-the-scenes key that keeps one record per event per day).

New field on Event (conference360__Event__c): Navigator_First_Enabled_Date__c (DateTime) — when Navigator was first enabled on the Event.

Reports are backed by a new "Events with Navigator Usage" report type.

Released in Navigator v1.7 (May 2026), with Blackthorn Events 5.47.
