Error on SMS Message Component

Description

A customer received the following error message when using the SMS message component. The issue was specific to the contact record.

"This page has an error. You might just need to refresh it. Action failed: simplesms:ChatAttachment$controller$handleInit [Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'indexOf')] Callback failed: apex://simplesms.Ctrl_Ltng_Send/ACTION$getMessagesForMessenger Failing descriptor: {simplesms:ChatAttachment$controller$handleInit}"

Resolution

The absence of information in media records caused the issue. Users will now see an error message in the Messaging component if data is missing.

Users Blocked from Sending Messages

Description

Internal and Community users were blocked and unable to send messages after upgrading to the November release. Both internal and community users were assigned the “Textey-Partner” permission set. Users received the error message below:

Resolution

We eliminated checks that attempted to read the value of the organization field, removing back-end issues related to the field ID. Internal and Community users should be assigned either the Blackthorn Messaging Standard User or Blackthorn Messaging Standard User - Community permission set.
