The Session Popularity report shows enrollment numbers, capacity utilization, and waitlist depth for every session on your event. Use it to identify oversubscribed sessions (candidates for a larger room or a second run) and undersubscribed ones (candidates for promotion).

Using Popularity Data

Common actions driven by the Session Popularity report:

Scenario Recommended action
Session at 100% with a long waitlist Increase Maximum Registrants if room allows, or change the room assignment to a larger space; consider scheduling a repeat session
Session under 20% utilization Send a targeted email to unregistered attendees highlighting the session; review the session description and speaker information for appeal
Multiple sessions in the same time slot all near capacity Review the overall schedule for capacity bottlenecks — consider staggering start times
High check-in rate but low enrollment Investigate whether walk-ins are being checked in without prior enrollment; ensure the check-in app is validating session enrollment

:::(Note) (Session capacity is enforced in Salesforce)
The conference360__Maximum_Registrants__c field on Session__c is the authoritative capacity cap. When this field is set, Forge enforces it during session selection at checkout — once capacity is reached, the session is marked full and enrollments are placed on a session-level waitlist. Setting the field to 0 or blank removes the cap.
