Name Update

All references to “Offers” in the Event Wizard have been changed to “Tickets” to align with most commonly used terminology for “Event Items”.

Tickets

The Tickets page is where you can define any tickets to be added to your event. This is where any attendee can pick the ticket they want to register for, whether its General Admission, VIP, etc.

  • Define the name for the ticket using the Public Item Name.
  • The Short Description will appear below the ticket name.
  • Define a payment gateway, if the event is paid.
  • Define if the event is free or paid.
  • Define your Custom Questions if you would like attendees to answer questions relating to the event.
  • Define the Quantity Available, if applicable. Otherwise leave this field blank for an unlimited quantity.
    • The Maximum Quantity and Minimum Quantity can be read more about here
  • Define if you want Waitlisting enabled, and define capacities if enabled.

Type Field

User’s can now add the Type field to the Event Wizard’s Tickets tab by adding the Type field to the “Blackthorn | Events Wizard Ticket Fields” fieldset. However, if the added field is not visible on the Ticket tab, the user will receive this error message, “Some of the fields [name of field] added in the fields are not supported.”

❗️

Free Session Support

As of October 2021, Blackthorn only supports free session registration in our Events registration flow. Support for paid sessions will be fully delivered in an upcoming release.

Ticket Sessions

Event Organizers can add one or more free or paid Sessions directly from the Tickets screen in the Event Wizard.

  • Select an existing Session to add to the ticket from the Add Sessions lookup field OR you can use `Add All Sessions' to add all existing sessions to the ticket in bulk.
  • Each Session can only be added to each ticket once; however, once a session has been added, users can duplicate that session from the “Sessions Table”.
  • The default sort order for the added sessions is alphabetical, and all text will be aligned to the left and justified. Sessions can also be sorted by Start Date.

  • Session fields can also be modified in-line on the Sessions Table.

  • You can also add or remove fields from the Sessions Table by following the steps below:

    1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup -> Object Manager

    4. Click into Blackthorn | Events Wizard Event Item Session Fields
    5. Drag and drop fields into the list. To make a field required, hover over field listed "In the Field Set" and click the wrench.
