Attendees can rate a Session and leave feedback in the Blackthorn Event Navigator app while the Session is still fresh — without waiting for a post-event survey. Each Session can include a five-level star rating and one open-ended feedback question.
Note: In-session feedback complements your existing post-event surveys; it does not replace them. The in-app experience arrives automatically when attendees update Navigator. The supporting field and report ship in the Events 5.47 Salesforce package and must be installed by an admin.
For attendees
Rate a Session
- Open the Session from your Agenda or the Session detail page.
- After the Session's start time, a Rate this session option appears.
- Choose a star rating (1–5) and, if a feedback question is shown, type your response.
- Tap Submit to save your rating and feedback. After submitting, you can reopen the Session and update your response at any time.
For Event Organizers
Enable feedback for a Session
In-session feedback is controlled per Session, with an event-level default:
- Turn in-session feedback on or off per Session.
- Set an event-level default that new Sessions inherit.
- Apply settings in bulk across multiple Sessions at once.
- Attendees can also be sent a push notification that deep-links straight to the session page.
View results
Event Organizers can view the feedback collected for each Session, including the aggregated star rating and the written responses. Use the Session Attendee Feedback report (in the Blackthorn Events Reports folder) to review feedback across Sessions.

A new Session Attendee Feedback report ships in the Blackthorn Events Reports folder, backed by a new "Sessions with Session Attendees" report type.
