# Install the Mobile Check-in App

## **Prerequisites**

### Android Devices

To use the Mobile Check-in app, Android devices must have the Version 9.0 operating system or higher.

### Review Salesforce Connected App Changes

Salesforce recently announced a [change to its security policy](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=005132365&type=1&utm_source=techcomms&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=FY26_Core_4013001) around Connected Apps, effective August 28, 2025. As a result, Blackthorn recommends verifying that these Connected Apps are installed in your Salesforce orgs.

- Blackthorn | Connected App - required for using Blackthorn Events and Blackthorn Payments
- Mobile Check-in - required to use the Blackthorn Mobile Check-in app
- Blackthorn | Mobile Connected App - required to use the Blackthorn Mobile Payments app
- Blackthorn Message - required for using Blackthorn Messaging

Please review the attached pdf for instructions to check that the required Connected Apps are installed and connected correctly.
