ENHANCED LAYOUTS

We gave our event settings, events, and event items pages a facelift! 😊We have included several new tabs, reports, and related lists so that you can easily digest each field on the corresponding records.

From an Event record, navigate to:

  1. Edit Page.
  2. Click on the Details component.
  3. Add 4 custom tabs, name them: Event Information, Venue, Checkout, and Attendees.
  4. For each tab there is a related quick action.
  5. Add in the Related Record component to each tab and define the update action.
  6. Click Save.

From an Event Settings record, navigate to:

  1. Edit Page.
  2. Click on the Details component.
  3. Add 5 custom tabs, name them: Branding, Event Tabs, Settings, Campaign Sync, and Opportunities.

REPROCESS EVENT REGISTRATIONS

If your Event Registration Submission record fails for any reason, we have provided a way for you to easily reprocess the record after fixing the issue.

❗️

Known Issue - Duplicate Sales Document

Reprocessing an event registration record will duplicate the related Sales Document. If you have any automation around the Sales Document, please wait for our next release to fix this known issue.

  1. Navigate to the Blackthorn Events (Admin) app.
  2. Click on the Event Registration Submissions tab.
  3. Click on a failed ERS record.
  4. Change the Status to "Processed" and check the Process field.
  5. Click save.

24 HOUR TIME FORMAT

Is here! :confetti-ball:

There is a new field on the Event Setting object called, Show 24 Hour Time Format. Set that field to "Yes" and all related events will show a 24 hour format instead of am/pm.

If you don't see this field on your event setting record, edit the page layout and add the field. Easy as :cake:

INVOICE DATE FORMAT

All date fields on the Sales Document will show in the correct format based on your browser location.
For example,

CAMPAIGN MEMBER SYNC

When auto-sync is on and an event planner mass adds more than 5 campaign members to a campaign, a CPU time limit error is thrown. This was because our sync was trying to add those 5 campaign members as attendees at the same time.

Now when you mass add more than 5 campaign members to a campaign that has event auto-sync turned on, all members will be added as attendees in 30 minutes. A job is scheduled to add them so a CPU error isn't thrown. If you need the attendees created quicker, turn off the event sync then mass add campaign members and click the Add Attendees button. This will immediately add everyone as an attendee to the event.

For more information about our campaign sync features, click here.

ENABLED PAYMENT METHODS

Prior to events version 2.68, the card payment option during an event registration was hard coded. Meaning that if you selected Pay Later as an enabled payment method on the event settings record, you would see Pay Later and pay by card. With this latest version, if you define "Pay Later" as the only option, that will be the only option you see during registration.

See additional information about our Pay Later feature, here.

OTHER ITEMS/UPDATES

  • The "iCal" text has been updated to "Apple Calendar" when adding the event to your calendar.
  • The "Contact Us" form now requires you to define all fields before submitting the request.

Known Issues

  • When deep cloning an event with event items, the registered, invited, canceled, etc.. summary fields keep the original events values instead of being nulled out. To fix this: delete the summary values on the new event items and sessions after cloning. This will be fixed with the next release.
