To limit Salesforce user visibility of Events to only the organizer and select users:
- In Setup, navigate to Sharing Settings.
- Edit Sharing Settings and set Events to "Private". Users of the organizer's Mobile Check-in App will then only see Events they have access to within Salesforce. The Owner of the Event will have access and each Event record will follow standard Salesforce sharing controls.
NOTE: If you set "Grant Access Using Hierarchies", you can update your hierarchies by searching for Roles within setup. https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=admin_roles.htm&type=5
- Add the Sharing button onto the Event page layout to share individual Events.
Setting Object Visibility
The Blackthorn Events app utilizes Lookup relationships, so each object you wish to restrict visibility for must be set to private in this way. Other objects to highlight:
- Attendees
- Sessions
- Session Attendee
- Invoice
