# Auction Paddle Raise

Paddle raise (fund-a-need) collects pledges live in the room. A spotter taps a giving level, enters a paddle number, and the pledge is recorded in seconds. It needs the Auction Paddle Raise switch.

## Set up

1. Open the appeal and add giving levels: amount, label, and optional gift description and gift fair market value.
2. Open Paddle raise from the auction and choose the appeal. The appeal must be Open.
3. Tap a level, enter the paddle number, and confirm.

- A pledge starts Pending and is charged with the bidder's other items at checkout.
- A gift with fair market value reduces the deductible amount: a 500 pledge with a 150 gift is 350 deductible.
- An unmatched paddle holds the pledge and lists it for reconciliation. It resolves when a registration gets that paddle number.
- A shared paddle number is refused as ambiguous.
- Undo works for 60 seconds and cancels the pledge.
- Entries made offline queue on the device and replay without double pledges.

## Public thermometer

A public page shows total raised and the goal, with no names or amounts per donor. With no goal set it shows raised only.
