Auction Live Room Tools

Live room tools give staff control during a live or timed auction. They need the Auction Live Room Tools switch, except the item import and bid confirmation, which are always available.

Soft close and staggered close

• Set the soft-close threshold in seconds and the extension in minutes. A late bid extends only that item. Extension 0 turns soft close off.
• Set Close Stagger Minutes and Group Size to close lots in groups. Lots close in lot-number order, or display order when lots have no numbers.
• Settings save to Salesforce and sync to the live bidding service. If the service is unreachable the save succeeds and a not-synced banner offers Retry.

Bid retraction

• Admins retract a bid with a required reason. The next highest bid becomes current and the item's bid count updates.
• A retracted bid by a proxy bidder cancels that proxy so it does not bid again.
• Every retraction is audited. Closed or sold items cannot be retracted: assign the winner instead.
• If the live bidding service is down, nothing changes.

Bid confirmation

Bidders confirm item and amount before a bid is placed. Tapping twice places one bid.

Item CSV import

1. Open Items and choose Import CSV.
2. Upload the file and review the dry run, 20 rows per page.
3. Commit. Rows are matched by lot number, so re-importing updates items.

• Maximum 500 rows. Duplicate lot numbers, bad numbers and missing headers are listed as row errors.
• Closed or completed auctions cannot be imported into.
• The reserve column is stored and never shown in any response.
